The Beach Boys Childhood Home
The Beach Boys Childhood Home is a California Historical Landmark. The house is not there anymore because it was torn down in the 1980s for the construction of the freeway. Twenty years after the home was demolished, a brick and tile marker was unveiled with some of the Beach Boys in it. It is located in the middle of a neighborhood so please be considerate when visiting.

Light Gate
The light gate is a tall piece of public art. It is positioned so that the keyhole portal is unlocked by the rays of the sun twice a year. You can find this at the Highland between City Hall and the library. The city of Manhattan Beach celebrated its centennial by commissioning a large public installation in 2012. After looking at the works of 160 candidates, they chose “Light Gate” and after it was finished, they unveiled it in front of the Manhattan Beach City Hall.

Old Town Music Hall
Since 1968, the Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo, California has been featuring silent and classic movies every weekend. Take note, it is accompanied by a live musical that is played on the largest Wurlitzer console! Each show this music hall showcases has started with its owner and musician Bill Field. The Mighty Wurlitzer is a historic organ that needed repairs and rebuilding so Field and his partner find some employees who can repair it. And after, they set it up in the theater to play.
